An Update to the Severe Weather Chances for Next Week

Ok so it is still a long way out but the threat for some severe weather exists for next Wednesday morning. Granted it is 5 days out, but the EURO and GFS have been going with a very similar solution. This is the 500mb vorticity at Tuesday 8pm8pm on Tuesday night. Now granted it isn’t the big bowling ball low that was being shown yesterday, but the EURO and GFS have been both consistent on the timing on this coming out. As it does we will see severe weather to our west late Tuesday night. This is the latest instability map for Wednesday morning and granted it isn’t impressive, but it doesn’t take much for this area to see early morning severe weather.ecmwf_cape_slp_east_20cape 8amNotice the location of the surface low on Wednesday morning which drags the cold front right the north Georgia area. Here is what the EURO is saying for Wednesday morning as well in terms of the line of potential storms.tuesdany night

Just found your blog mike. Thanks for the updates. It shows next week to be in the 40s and 50s. How would this amount to that snow dump model??
