There is a very potent system coming from the west that will be moving through the area early morning. This is the upper energy that will be coming through N Georgia early on Monday morning. Most of the real strong energy from this storm will be staying to the north, but there is a small “piece” that you can see there that will move through. As of right now the Storms Prediction Center does not have us in a risk area, but they are
at least looking at the SE for tomorrow for the possibility of a few strong storms that could last into Monday AM. I am NOT expecting this to be an “event” by any stretch, but with this much energy coming through Monday morning there could be a couple of strong storms. Check out the forecasted rain totals from the EURO!! I am definitely thinking storms, a few strong ones with some heavy rain….. but as for snow, not a chance in my opinion. Take a look at the surface temps for this. Even though on the back side of this system it will get cold at at the surface, it won’t get cold enough to snow. Temps even behind the front aren’t that cold. Granted the temps will go down big after the front moves through, but by that time the rain will be gone and we will once agin get very cold LOL.
