Memorial Day Weekend Forecast

Ahhhhh yes, the “official start of summer” is approaching us and it looks like the weekend will be just about perfect for summer time activities. The dominant weather feature for us continues to be the area of high pressure that is building down in the gulf states. This will send temps into the 90’s for the first time this year, right in time for the weekend. But since it is going to be to the SW of us, this means that since we are on the NE side of it we will see some “cooler” air slide in this weekend and Memorial Day. Here are the specifics:

Today – Partly cloudy with an afternoon high of 90, winds from the SW at 10-16

Tonight – Mainly clear skies with an overnight low of around 65, light winds from the SW

Tomorrow – Partly cloudy and continued hot, highs will be in the lower 90’s. Winds from the NW at 10-16

Saturday and Sunday – Temps will cool just a bit as a weak front will move through, highs will fall back into the mid 80’s. Winds will be from the NW 10-15

Memorial Day – As the cold front backs back up we will see a 30% chance of a few afternoon t-storms pop up. Highs will be in the mid 80’s with light winds from the NE at 10-15

Please share the blogs and tell your friends so you can spread the word about my daily forecasts and science updates. I will be starting more things like weekend lake forecasts, Friday night football forecasts as well as travel to the beach forecasts.
